Art Center Morro Bay presents the “Love of Nature” exhibit, an experience of beauty, wonder, and diversity of the Central Coast through the unique perspectives of local artists. Discover familiar scenes of the ocean, bay, marshes, mountains, plants, and wildlife, along with imaginative and abstract interpretations that invite you to see nature in new ways.

The League of Women Voters of San Luis Obispo County is partnering with the AAUW 5 Cities Pismo Beach Branch to moderate a forum for candidates for Lucia Mar USD School Board. The forum will be held in person. It will also be live-streamed on slo-span.org and will be available on the League's YouTube Channel for later viewing.

Candidate forums are intended to provide the public with an opportunity to learn about the candidates and their views on the issues. Community members are encouraged to attend the forum and to submit questions for the candidates at the forum. Questions should be on the issues and applicable to all candidates.

Yosemite is primarily known for its world-class scenery and, as a result, the park’s wildlife is unfortunately often overlooked. Join Robb Hirsch for a presentation highlighting the diversity of Yosemite’s incredible wildlife and how he creates images that tell their stories. He’ll share natural history anecdotes, ethical wildlife photography tips, and the experiences behind capturing images over the past 30 years.

The Cambria Center for the Arts (CCA) presents "Mix it Up!", a vibrant mixed media exhibition. This showcase celebrates creativity without boundaries, featuring the innovative work of featured artist Carolyn Chambers. Additionally, works by our local artists exploring diverse materials and techniques and combining media in unexpected ways will be on display.

Exhibit runs: September 1 to November 1.
Artist’s Reception: September 5, 4:30 to 6 pm.

Allan Hancock College invites the community to a free library-themed live-action wrestling event on campus. Lucha Libros will be bringing the ring, folding chairs, and a non-stop fight against censorship. Come cheer for the luchas as they bring storytelling to life!

TMHA presents an intimate evening of live local music and lush greenery with stories and songs by California Soulgrass artist Miss Leo. Ynana Rose will host and open the show. Bring your own food and beverage in the cozy, plant-filled atmosphere of Growing Grounds.
